Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District seek the public's assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Kidnapping (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, April 28, 2023, in the 800 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast. At approximately 6:30 pm, the victims were seated inside their vehicle at the listed location. The suspect entered the vehicle through the rear passenger door, brandished a weapon, and demanded the victims to drive. The victims complied and drove the suspect around until the suspect exited the vehicle then fled the scene.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District seek the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in the 1200 block of H Street, Northeast. At approximately 3:50 am, the suspect forcibly gained entry into an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property and then fled the scene.The suspect was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos at right:

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District seek the public's assistance in locating suspects in reference to an Attempted Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in the Unit block of G Street, Southwest.At approximately 11:00 pm, the suspects approached the victim, who was seated in his vehicle, at the listed location. The suspects opened the vehicle doors and demanded the victim's vehicle keys. The suspects fled the scene without obtaining any property.The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos at left.

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public's assistance in locating a wanted suspect. 56-year-old Michael Carrion is currently wanted on a New Jersey State arrest warrant. He is also wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, for a First-Degree Fraud offense that occurred on Friday, April 21, 2023, in the 1000 block of 7th Street, Northwest. Carrion is believed to be in the Washington, DC, area and can be seen in the photo at right:

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch announces an arrest has been made in reference to a homicide that occurred on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in the 1100 block of D Street, Northeast.At approximately 2:55 pm, First District officers responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female, inside a residence, suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, the OCME determined that the cause of death was a stab wound and the manner was ruled a homicide.The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old Andrea Bond, of Northeast, DC.On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 31-year-old Rayvon Slye, of Northwest, DC. Slye has been charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed. The detectives’ investigation revealed this offense was domestic in nature.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Major Crash Unit are investigating a traffic fatality that occurred on Monday, May 1, 2023, on Interstate 295 Southbound Prior to Exits 1B and 1C. The preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 3:18 a.m., a silver 2001 Toyota Corolla was parked on the left shoulder with the vehicle's hazard lights activated for what appeared to be mechanical issues on Interstate 295 South prior to exit 1B and 1C. The owner/pedestrian of the Toyota was standing outside of the vehicle and on its passenger side when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The striking vehicle fled the scene. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old Rhyes Patrick-James Harris, of Alexandria, VA. The striking vehicle has been described as possibly being a 1999 to 2003 Ford Windstar minivan, however the color is unknown. The vehicle may have a broken windshield and a missing driver's side headlamp. Photos of a similar model vehicle, not the actual vehicle, can be seen above.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District seek the public's assistance in locating suspects in reference to Armed Robbery (Gun) and Theft One (Stolen Auto) Offenses that occurred on Saturday, April 30, 2023, in the 500 block of Morse Street, Northeast.At approximately 11:55 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns, assaulted the victims, and took the victims’ property and vehicle keys. The suspects then fled the scene in the victims’ vehicle.One of the suspects was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photo at right:

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District announce an arrest has been made and an additional suspect is sought in a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, April 28, 2023, in the 1500 block of North Capitol Street, Northeast.At approximately 3:02 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects demanded the victim's property. When the victim did not comply, the other suspect snatched the property from the victim. The suspects fled the scene. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers.On Friday, April 28, 2023, 33-year-old Marquise Smith, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Robbery (Snatch).

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District seek the public's assistance in identifying and locating suspects and a vehicle in a Burglary Two of an Establishment offense that occurred on Friday, May 5, 2023, in the 600 block of Water Street, Southwest. At approximately 3:50 am, the suspects forcibly entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspects took property then fled the scene in a vehicle. The suspects and their vehicle were captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in this video.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit announce an arrest has been made in a 2021 Voyeurism offense that occurred on Thursday, September 2, 2021, in the 200 block of 5th Street, Southeast.Between approximately 7:33 pm and 9:00 pm, the suspect entered the victim's yard and was repeatedly looking inside of the victim's residential window while exposing himself. The suspect then fled the scene.On Thursday, May 4, 2023, pursuant to a DC Superior arrest warrant, 31-year-old Andre Jamar Turman, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Stalking, Unlawful Entry, Indecent Exposure, and Voyeurism. At the time of his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a handgun. He was additionally charged with Carrying a Pistol without a License and Felon in Possession.
